PDFCore 8.0.1

A practical PDF workspace, not a collection of upload forms

Read, annotate, convert, OCR, scan, organize and protect documents locally on Windows.

W

PDF to Word

Three DOCX modes: editable layout, precise layout and flowing text. Select pages, preserve graphics, detect editable tables and handle headers and footers explicitly.

OCR

OCR and scanning

Recognize current pages, create searchable PDFs, extract text, convert scanned pages to Word, and scan through Windows Image Acquisition where the device driver supports it.

Advanced merge

Add files or folders, drop PDFs from Explorer, remove duplicates, reorder sources, select a page expression per file, preview pages, create source bookmarks and choose conflict behavior.

Planned split

Split every N pages, by custom groups, into equal parts, into odd/even files, or extract a chosen sequence. Preview output names before writing.

Page organization

Insert, extract, delete, crop, rotate and reorder pages. Undo and redo page-order, rotation, overlay and bookmark changes.

Page overlays

Add text, images, links, headers and footers, highlights, underline, strikeout, freehand ink, rectangles, comments, form fields, stamps and signature appearances.

Image conversion

Export PDF pages to PNG or JPEG at a chosen DPI. Build a PDF from multiple images using A4 fitting or each image’s original dimensions.

Compression

Optimize content streams while preserving structure, or create an explicitly labeled raster archive after acknowledging the loss of selectable text and interactive objects.

Security

Apply open and owner passwords, choose print/copy/modify permissions, remove restrictions when authorized, and use secure page redaction when underlying content must be removed.

Reading and print

Use thumbnails, bookmarks, comments, page search, zoom, full screen, reading themes, auto-scroll, snapshots and the standard Windows print workflow.

Batch work

Run PDF-to-Word, PDF-to-text and lossless compression across multiple files, with output preflight and deterministic unique names for collisions.

Ten languages

English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Arabic. Arabic uses right-to-left layout.

Know the boundaries

PDFCore adds visual signature appearances; it does not create certificate-based digital signatures. Cover-and-replace is a visual edit, not secure removal. Secure redaction rasterizes affected pages. OCR quality depends on the scan and installed Windows OCR languages. These distinctions are visible in the app because reliable document work starts with honest choices.
