- About 215 MB installed; keep at least 350 MB free during setup
- Windows OCR language packs for OCR in additional languages
- A WIA-compatible driver for direct scanner control
What the installer does
- Installs per user under Local AppData by default
- Adds Start menu and uninstall entries
- Offers optional desktop shortcut and PDF “Open with” registration
- Requires no administrator elevation for the default install
- Can be removed from Windows Installed apps
Verify the download
After downloading, open PowerShell in the download folder and run:

Installation
- Download the versioned installer. Keep the filename unchanged while you verify it.
- Run the installer. Review the license and optional shortcuts.
- Launch PDFCore. The home screen presents conversion, OCR, merge, split and security tools.
Privacy at first launch
PDFCore does not ask you to create an account. The app performs document work locally and does not contain an automatic uploader, advertising SDK or telemetry client. Selecting the website button opens pdfcore.com in your normal browser; it does not transmit a document.
