Before reporting a problem
- Confirm you are running PDFCore 8.0.1 on supported 64-bit Windows.
- Try a second, non-confidential PDF to learn whether the issue is document-specific.
- For OCR, confirm the required Windows OCR/language pack is installed and the scan is upright and readable.
- For protected files, distinguish the password needed to open the PDF from the owner password needed to change restrictions.
- For PDF to Word, try editable layout first, then precise layout or flowing text depending on whether visual fidelity or easy editing matters more.
What to include
- PDFCore version and Windows edition
- The exact tool, option choices and page expression used
- Expected result and actual result
- Whether the source is born-digital, scanned or password-protected
- A synthetic or redacted sample that reproduces the issue
Do not submit confidential documents, passwords, private keys or personal data. Recreate the structure with dummy content whenever possible.
Diagnostic log
Unhandled UI faults are written to PDFCore’s local diagnostic log. Review it before sharing and remove file paths or document names that you consider sensitive. The app itself does not upload the log.
Security issues
For a suspected security flaw, document the version, impact and shortest safe reproduction, then email support@pdfcore.com. Do not attach confidential documents, passwords, private keys or personal data. Use a synthetic sample when a file is necessary, and do not test against files or systems you are not authorized to use. Automated security contact details are also published at security.txt.
